1. Introduction and Scope
GPLAN SOLUTIONS LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have. It applies to your use of insurancepolicyhelpline.com (the "Site"), our toll-free phone line, and our agency services for life insurance and final expense insurance.
We are a Florida limited liability company with our principal office at 555 NE 8TH ST, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. The agency's insurance activities are conducted through Gonzalo Gonzalez, a Florida-licensed insurance producer (License No. G151785, 2-15 Life, Health & Variable Annuity). [The LLC's own Florida agency license status is to be confirmed and disclosed here once finalized.]
This Site is intended for adult U.S. residents (18+) who reside in the states where we are licensed: Florida, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
We offer life insurance and final expense (burial) insurance only. We do not sell health insurance, Medicare, ACA marketplace plans, auto insurance, home insurance, or any other line of coverage.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Information You Provide Directly
When you contact us through our website, by phone, or during the application process, you may provide:
- Identifying information: name, telephone number, email address, ZIP code
- Quote information: date of birth, smoker / non-smoker status, coverage amount of interest, general health profile if voluntarily shared
- Communications: the content of phone calls, voicemails, text messages, emails, and form submissions
- Application information: during the formal application process, the carrier's secure portal will request additional information necessary for underwriting, including your full Social Security number, full date of birth, detailed health and prescription history, beneficiary designations, and payment information. This sensitive underwriting data is collected by the carrier through the carrier's secure portal — not by us through this Site.
2b. Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit the Site, we (and our service providers) automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser type and version, device type, operating system, screen size, and language
- Pages visited, links clicked, time spent on pages, and referral source
- Cookies and similar identifiers used by analytics and advertising technologies (see Section 6)
When you call our phone number, we automatically collect:
- Your phone number (caller ID)
- Date, time, and duration of the call
- Audio recordings of the call where lawful and disclosed (Florida is a two-party consent state; calls are not recorded without disclosure)
2c. Sensitive Personal Information
We treat the following as sensitive personal information and only collect it when needed for a specific purpose: full Social Security number, full date of birth, government-issued ID numbers, financial account or payment information, health and medical information, and precise geolocation. As noted above, most sensitive information is collected by the carrier through the carrier's secure application portal during underwriting — not by us through the Site.
For the limited categories of sensitive information we may handle (such as health information you voluntarily share by phone for purposes of obtaining a quote), we use that information only to provide quotes, complete applications you authorize, fulfill our regulatory obligations, and as otherwise permitted by law.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provide quotes for life or final expense coverage
- Help you complete an application through a carrier you choose
- Communicate with you by phone, text message, and email about your inquiry, application, and policy (subject to your consent — see Section 7)
- Maintain records required by state insurance laws and by carriers we work with
- Detect and prevent fraud and protect against malicious or illegal activity
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful requests by public authorities
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising and improve the Site (see Section 6)
- Train and supervise our agents to ensure the quality of our service
We do not use your information for purposes incompatible with the purposes described above without notifying you and, where required, obtaining your consent.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only with the following categories of recipients:
- Insurance carriers you choose to apply with. Once you select a carrier and authorize an application, we share the information needed for that application with that specific carrier through the carrier's secure portal. We do not share your information with carriers you have not chosen.
- Service providers under written agreements. We use a limited number of vendors to operate our business (for example, our hosting provider, phone system, customer relationship management software, email service, and analytics provider). They are contractually required to use your information only for the services they provide to us and to keep it secure.
- Legal and regulatory disclosures. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with law, a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to respond to a request from a state insurance regulator or other lawful authority; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers, or others.
- In a business transaction. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
5. We Do Not Sell or Rent Your Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent, share, or syndicate your personal information to lead aggregators, marketing partners, other agencies, or any third party for their own marketing purposes. The only parties who receive your information from us are described in Section 4.
This commitment applies regardless of whether a particular state's privacy law would technically classify any of our activities as a "sale" or "share." If you are a resident of a state with a privacy law (such as California), see Section 11 for more on your rights.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Online Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure how it is used, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The specific tools we currently use are:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Provides aggregated reporting on Site traffic and usage. Opt out: install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google Tag Manager. A tag-management tool used to load the analytics and advertising tags listed in this section. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal information about visitors.
- Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Remarketing. Helps us measure which ads led people to contact us and (where applicable) show our ads to people who previously visited the Site. Opt out: visit Google's Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out.
- Nextiva. Our phone system provider. Nextiva collects and processes information about calls placed to and from our toll-free number, including phone numbers, call duration, and (where disclosed) call recordings. Nextiva's privacy practices are described in Nextiva's Privacy Policy.
If we add additional trackers in the future — for example, a Meta pixel, TikTok pixel, CallRail, or a CRM webhook — we will update this list.
You can use general controls in your browser to limit cookies, and on most mobile devices you can reset or limit ad tracking IDs. Some parts of the Site may not work as well if you block all cookies.
Do Not Track: Our Site does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals at this time, because there is no industry-wide consensus on what those signals should mean. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) — see Section 11.
7. Communications Consent — Phone, Text, and Email
When you submit a form on the Site or call our number, you may consent to receive communications from us about your inquiry. The TCPA-compliant disclosure presented at our forms governs the scope of that consent.
- Phone calls and text messages (TCPA). If you provide your phone number through the Site or to one of our agents, you consent to receive calls and SMS messages from us regarding your inquiry, including calls and texts placed using an automated system or prerecorded voice. Your consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any product. Standard message and data rates may apply.
- Email (CAN-SPAM). If you give us your email address, we may send you informational and commercial emails about your inquiry and policy. Every commercial email contains an unsubscribe link.
- Florida Telemarketing and Do Not Call. We honor the Florida Do Not Call list, the National Do Not Call Registry, and any internal Do Not Call requests you make to us.
How to opt out:
- Stop calls: Tell the agent on the call, or call us at (877) 433-7814 and ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list.
- Stop texts: Reply STOP to any message.
- Stop emails: Click the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us using the information in Section 15.
Opt-outs may take a reasonable amount of time to take full effect across our systems. Even after you opt out of marketing communications, we may still contact you for non-marketing reasons, such as to service an active application or comply with legal requirements.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as we have a legitimate business or legal reason to do so:
- Inquiries that did not result in an application: retained for [X] months after the most recent contact.
- Application and policy records: retained for the period required by the carrier with which you applied and by applicable state insurance record-retention rules. In most states, agencies are required to maintain records of insurance transactions for several years after the transaction is closed.
- Phone records and call recordings: retained for the period required by our phone provider's standard configuration and applicable law.
- Backup and security logs: retained for the periods needed to operate our security and disaster-recovery programs.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or render it de-identified, except as needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
9. Data Security
We are a "financial institution" under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and comply with the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 314). We maintain a written information security program that includes:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for the Site and for sensitive communications
- Access controls limiting access to personal information to employees and agents who need it for their job
- Multi-factor authentication on accounts that hold or access sensitive information
- Regular employee training on privacy and information security
- Written agreements with our service providers requiring them to maintain appropriate security
- An incident-response process to investigate and respond to suspected security incidents
If a breach affecting personal information of Florida residents occurs, we will provide notice as required by the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171), generally within 30 days of determining that a breach has occurred, and will provide notice to residents of other states as required by their respective laws.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. The products we offer (life insurance and final expense insurance) are sold to adults. If you are under 18, please do not provide any personal information through the Site.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 (or under 13, the threshold under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we will delete that information promptly. A parent or guardian who believes we may have collected information about their child may contact us using the information in Section 15.
11. State-Specific Consumer Rights
Some states give residents specific rights over their personal information. The rights below apply only to residents of the listed states and only to the personal information we hold about them. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 15. We will verify your identity before fulfilling rights requests, generally by matching information in our records (such as your name, phone, email, and ZIP) and may ask for additional information if needed. There is no fee to make a request unless your request is excessive or repetitive.
If we decline a request, we will explain why and let you know how to appeal.
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We provide a notice at collection at the points where we collect your information. The categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use them, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose them are described in Sections 2 through 4 of this Policy. We retain personal information for the periods described in Section 8.
Categories of personal information we may collect (CCPA categories): identifiers; characteristics protected under California or federal law (such as age); commercial information about coverage interests; internet or network activity; geolocation information (approximate, derived from IP); audio recordings of calls; professional or employment information you voluntarily share; inferences drawn from the above to determine your insurance preferences. We may also collect sensitive personal information in limited circumstances (see Section 2c).
We do not "sell" personal information and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger the CCPA right to limit.
You have the right to:
- Know / access what personal information we have about you, including the categories, sources, business purposes, and recipients
- Receive a copy of the personal information you provided, in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we may need to keep records of insurance transactions)
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do not sell or share, but you may exercise this right at any time
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right
- Be free from retaliation for exercising your rights
How to submit a request:
- Phone: (877) 433-7814
- Mail: GPLAN SOLUTIONS LLC, Attn: Privacy Request, 555 NE 8TH ST, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require proof of authorization and may also ask you to verify your identity directly.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent from your browser as a valid opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" while you are on the Site.
Other State Rights — Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Tennessee, Iowa, Indiana, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Maryland, Minnesota, Kentucky, and Florida
If you reside in one of the states listed above, you may have rights similar to those listed for California residents, including the right to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete your information (subject to exceptions), obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal information. Some states (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, and Texas) require us to honor universal opt-out preference signals; we honor the Global Privacy Control on the Site.
We do not sell personal information and we do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you within the meaning of these laws. Where a particular law gives you a right we do not currently fulfill (for example, because we are below the law's applicability threshold), we will still respond in good faith to a request and explain our position.
To exercise rights, use the same contact methods listed in the California section above. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response within 60 days, and we will respond to the appeal within the time required by your state's law.
Residents of Other States
If you reside in a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law not specifically listed above, you may have rights similar to those described in this section. Contact us and we will respond consistent with the law applicable to you.
12. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Privacy Notice
As a licensed insurance agency, we are a "financial institution" under the GLBA. The information in this Privacy Policy serves as our GLBA privacy notice. In summary:
- The categories of nonpublic personal information we collect are described in Section 2.
- The categories of nonpublic personal information we disclose are described in Section 4 (limited to carriers you choose, service providers under contract, legal/regulatory disclosures, and successors in a business transaction).
- We do not disclose nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties for the purpose of marketing their products or services to you. There is no opt-out you need to exercise to stop such disclosures, because we do not make them.
- We protect the confidentiality and security of your information through the safeguards described in Section 9.
We comply with the Florida Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 626.9651) and the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171), which include rights to access and correct certain insurance-related personal information held by us and breach-notification obligations described in Section 9.
13. International Users
The Site is intended for users located in the United States. We do not knowingly direct the Site to users outside the United States, and we do not offer the products described on the Site to non-U.S. residents. If you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, please do not submit personal information through the Site.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice (for example, a banner on the Site or a notice on the page). Continued use of the Site or our services after the effective date of the updated policy means you accept the changes.
